Notably, the Admiral’s concluding remarks in this statement were:

“The Indo-Pacific is the decisive theatre for American security and prosperity in the 21st century. The United States possesses significant advantages over potential adversaries – our professional all-volunteer force, our technological innovation, and our network of alliances and partnerships. These advantages are not to be taken for granted – we work to expand and improve them every day. We must act with urgency to strengthen deterrence, enhance warfighting readiness and force posture, procure critical capabilities, and deepen partnerships. The investments we make today will determine whether we prevent conflict through credible deterrence or face war under suboptimal conditions. USINDOPACOM stands ready to execute any mission in defence of our nation, our allies, and our interests. We are a resolute and lethal Joint Force, always ready to fight and win. With the continued support of Congress, the American people, and our allies and partners, we will defend freedom throughout the Indo-Pacific.”
