The Chief of Navy, VADM Mike Noonan, has given permission for the Australian White Ensign to flys over the HMAS Sydney Memorial in Geraldton.
The HMAS Sydney Memorial at Geraldton in WA has become a place of pilgrimage for many thousands of visitors each year. Some visitors arrive by sea on cruise ships that come to Geraldton specifically to allow passengers to visit the memorial.
