THE cover photograph of Ships For All Nations is an elevated view of the John Brown shipyard in March 1963 looking over the Cunard liners Franconia and Carmania to the crane-covered shipbuilding berths of the company’s East Yard. This evocative image should be sufficient reason for those fascinated by ships and shipbuilding to delve into this history of the great John Brown shipbuilding concern.
