Introduction

Since the mid-2000s, when the decision was made to acquire three Air Warfare Destroyers and two Landing Helicopter Docks, Australia has embarked on a major naval shipbuilding and upgrade program that will completely reshape and renew the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) fleet.
