The commander of an East Coast nuclear guided-missile submarine was removed from command last week, the U.S. Navy announced, US Naval Institute news reports. Capt. Geoffry Patterson, commander of the Blue Crew of USS Georgia (SSGN-729), was removed from his position on Friday, according to a release from Submarine Group 10.
