A Peoples liberation Army- Navy (PLA-N) task group arrived in the Thai port of Sattahip prior to the commencement of the combined Exercise Blue Strike 2023. The Task Group consisted of the Type 71 amphibious dock landing ship (LSD) Siming Shan with an embarked marine element, the guided-missile frigate Anyang, and the replenishment ship Chaohu.
