A U.S. and U.K. warship transited the Taiwan Strait this month (September 2025) last week drawing protests from Beijing, USNI News has learned.
U.S. guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG-76) and anti-submarine frigate HMS Richmond(F239) sailed through the strait on Sept. 12, a Pentagon official confirmed to US Naval Institute News.
