The world’s largest warship, the nuclear power aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) has become fully operational. This is five years after commissioning. The ship has completed system qualification tests, flight deck certification, three phases of air warfare training, and a Combat Systems Operational Readiness Evaluation that included 11,000 aircraft launches and arrested landings.
