If you like warships then you will have a fondness for battleships. It’s impossible not to. Their size, their lines, their massive guns, all give the impression of immense power. You only need to watch the opening scenes of Under Siege, or the pictures of USS Wisconsin firing a broadside in Gulf War 1, to understand why US Navy admirals apparently volunteered to be demoted so as to captain such a ship.
