Defence Minister Linda Reynolds has mapped out why Australia needs to quickly develop a much more potent defence force to deal with looming threats in a dangerously uncertain future.
In a speech to ASPI in Canberra, Reynolds said the 2016 defence white paper made it very clear that Australia needed to maintain its capability edge, adapt to rapidly changing strategic circumstances, and prepare for the complex and high-tech conflicts of the future.
