The Republic of China Navy (ROCN) commissioned its first locally designed and built Landing Platform Dock (LHD) the Yusan. Named after the island’s tallest mountain, she is the first of two ships designed to supply garrisoned forces on out-lying islands, transport toops and conduct humanitarian aid operations.
