Should hospital ships be armed?

In 1949, the Geneva Convention for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded, Sick, and Shipwrecked Members of the Armed Forces set out to prevent hospital ships from becoming the targets of violence or retaliation in international conflict, the Navy Times reports.
