Amid the daily crises of our world, it is easy to lose sight of the meaning of the submarine deal signed on March 13, 2023, by the leaders of Australia, United Kingdom, and the United States. The agreement signed in San Diego creates a viable plan for Australia to acquire nuclear-powered submarines and greatly enhance the warfighting capabilities of all three nations.
