The Australian Naval Institute has launched Issue 1 of the Australian Naval Review for 2022. This issue focuses on the September 2021 announcement of the AUKUS trilateral security partnership. The ANI is pleased to bring considered and refined analysis on this historic announcement, with perspectives from Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Canada.
Amongst the authors included in this issue are the former Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Michael Noonan, Dr Richard Herr, Dr Basil Germond, who addresses the solidarisitc society of maritime nations, and Commander Neil Westphalen who discusses the missions, functions and roles of naval health services. This issue also includes the winning essays from the 2022 Chief of Navy Essay Competition, and the 2022 Vernon Parker Oration, delivered by Professor William Maley, AM.
