Over its 50 years the ANI has published international perspectives on Australian naval and maritime affairs. These different perspectives often offer much to consider. In 2000 Lieutenant Commander Richard Gimblett of the Canadian Forces wrote a 2000 Peter Mitchell Prize Winning Essay which discussed the RAN’s required medium and long term response to the 2000 Defence White Paper.
