The reprinting of old articles published in the Journal of the Australian Naval Institute, which was part of the commemorative activities for the ANI’s 50th anniversary, continues due to its popularity with members and readers.

The first article for 2026 is a fascinating article from ‘Shiphandling Corner’ about navigating the 1,224 km long Fly River in Papua New Guinea. This vast river is no longer familiar to the RAN personnel as it once was.
