TO the crowded lexicon of World War I naval literature during that war’s centenary comes ‘Clash of Fleets’ detailing 144 surface naval engagements from the first action in the Broad Fourteens on 18 August 1914 to the last – the Bombardment of Durazzo on 2 October 1918.
