Dinner Address – Centenary of Naval Aviation. 20 May 2017
Address by CDRE Chris Smallhorn. Commander Fleet Air Arm.

What an honour to be here amongst people who care for, and invest in our community, and who share a love of Naval aviation and a realisation of its importance to our country.

Australia’s engagement with Naval Aviation commenced just one year after the Royal Navy. In my view it is by no quirk of fate, we Australians were in aviation at the beginning – and much of it started right here on the South Coast of NSW.
