It’s not often that the ANI reviews section is graced by works of fiction, but this pair of hefty novels may interest naval readers for two reasons. The first is the wealth of sail-powered vessels that swim through the pages, and the second is the depiction of a fine naval officer who existed in reality – Captain Arthur Phillip.
