The U.S Navy is the most advanced in the world today, but our weaknesses in the electromagnetic spectrum bear considering, Zachary Hoyt writes in the UN Naval Institute’s “Proceedings”

While it is important to stay on the leading edge of technological development, the Navy can maintain its advantage by reimplementing some tried and true tactics, techniques, and procedures that largely have been forgotten since the Cold War. The U.S. Sixth Fleet, through a series of electromagnetic maneuver warfare (EMW) exercises called Silent Echo, is attempting to do just that.
