There is no denying that the Indo-Pacific is a region of intense modern political and economic interest. Through observance of historical patterns, especially noted through Ian Morris’s book Why the West rules – for now, the growth towards the East and evolving Indo-Pacific regional focus is the seeming natural and inevitable progression.[1]
