In October the Republic of Korea hosted the week-long Multinational Mine Warfare Exercise (MN- MIWEX). The participants nations besides the hosts were Australia, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Japan, Columbia, New Zealand, Singapore, Turkey, the UK and the US. It was the 7th iteration of the exercise. The exercise included a multitude of training drills designed to improve cooperation and proficiencies in mine countermeasures operations.
