
Ships of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Peoples Liberation Army Navy (PLA-N) have conducted the two day China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation 2025 (CSEC 25). This was the fourth CSEC iteration. It commenced on 14 May following IMDEX ASIA 2025 which is one of Asia Pacific’s major naval and maritime defence events.
The participating ships in CSEC 25 were the PLA-N Jiangkai II class guided-missile frigate Xuchang and minesweeper/hunter Chishui together with the RSN frigate RSS Steadfast and the Wozang class mine countermeasure vessel RSS Bedok. CSEC 25 activities included passing through the mine threat zone, gunnery firing, joint search and rescue, and medical evacuation.
