SEVEN US sailors after dead after a US Navy destroyer collided with a Philippine-flagged merchant ship off the coast of Japan on June 17, sparking questions about how it could happen. A number of the sailors were found dead in the destroyer's flooded berthing compartments. A U.S. Coast Guard investigation team arrived in Japan Monday to start piecing together the sequence of events that led to the weekend collision between a Navy destroyer and a fully loaded container ship four times its size. There are now multiple investigations into the accident.
