From the ANI Archives: Recollections of a 1970s Naval Planner
The Summer 2003 edition of the Journal of the Australian Naval Institute contains the engaging recollections of Commodore Alan ‘Rocker’ Robertson on his efforts in the late 1970s to professionalise the RAN’s planning. Interestingly, while he was recounting his efforts in the 2003 edition, with some dismay, some of his planning initiatives had been resurrected by Vice Admiral David Shackleton and his successors.
