On 5 May the New Zealand Minister of Defence, the Hon. Judith Collins KC announced a large investment in New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) operating funding ahead of Budget 2025. In particular, the NZDF’s ageing maritime helicopters will be replaced to increase the defensive and offensive capability and surveillance range of New Zealand’s frigates.
