Japanese helicopter sea trials

The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) has begun sea trials of its helicopter carrier JS Kaga (DDH 184) after undergoing major modifications of the vessel to operate the F-35B fighter jets, the JMSDF announced on December 25, Naval News reports.

New images posted to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, by the service’s Escort Flotilla Four show JS Kaga departed from its dock at Japan Marine United (JMU) ’s shipyard in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and carried out sea trials.
