On 27 June two warships each from the People’s Liberation Army-Navy (PLA-N) and the Vietnamese People’s Navy (VPN) carried out a joint patrol in Beibu Gulf. The PLA-N warships involved were the frigates Guangyuanand Hanzhong from the Southern Theatre Command.
