A project-delivery problem with a strategic fix

The sudden announcement of AUKUS and the plan for Australia to have nuclear submarines is at its heart a means to provide a fix to the troubled acquisition of the French designed Attack class submarines. While there is rationalisation and spin about the changed strategic situation now requiring nuclear powered boats, it is clear that if the Attack program was proceeding well that we would not be in this situation.
