China has made the belief that it can operate with impunity in the waters of the Indo-Pacific region, much to the consternation of its neighbors. In this new op-ed for Breaking Defense, Lt. Cmdr. Thelmar Rosarda of the US Navy and Nathaniel Schochet of the Center for a New American Security argue that the US should use China’s maritime aggression to strengthen relations in the regions.
