The shallow and shoaling waters along the Finnish coast offer challenging exercise conditions where naval activity is supported by airborne and special troops.
This year, a fictive scenario was based on a crisis management operation where security threats were presented by terrorism, piracy and smuggling.
The exercise has been held since 2007 for NATO and EU countries. Over the past years between 10 and 15 nations have taken part.
