SINCE the end of the Sri Lankan Civil War in May 2009, the island-nation’s maritime domain has been radically altered from a wartime to peacetime environment. With the threat posed by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) nullified, Sri Lanka’s Navy has had to refocus to a new era of emerging challenges.
